In Memoriam. Dr. Ramesh Srivastava (1941-2023), founder and owner of SciTech Services, passed away on 8 December 2023 following a brief illness. Ramesh was born one of 13 children in rural India. From his humble beginnings, he earned two Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry, one in India and one in Australia. He returned briefly to India to marry before immigrating to the USA with his new wife in 1971. As a new immigrant, he worked in fast food establishments to support his family and subsequently did post-doctoral research in immunology at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. In 1988 he was hired by Mr. Bill Mengel as a research analyst at EAI Corporation. In 1990, at the age of forty-nine years old, Ramesh established his own company SciTech Services, Inc. From its start 33 years ago, SciTech has been providing expert engineering and scientific support to U.S. Government customers while always maintaining a sterling performance record. This success was due to Ramesh’s management style and his ability to attract and retain talented employees for whom he always gave the credit. His wish was for SciTech to continue to grow and prosper. He loved his SciTech family, and he is loved and missed. Ramesh’s funeral was held on Monday, 11 December 2023 in Bethesda, MD.
